Storyteller
By the time I graduated from college with a degree in Writing for TV, Radio, and Film from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
“I want to work for National Geographic Television,” I told my mother. Turns out they were looking for an intern in their story development department. So I packed my bags and moved to Washington, D.C.
That internship turned into a job, which is where I fell in love with storytelling. I thrive on finding compelling, character-driven stories and diving deep into research. After four years at NGTV, I moved on to work for small independent production companies where I was producer and writer, head of production, and supervising producer, managing talented production teams in the office and in the field.
I’ve produced and written films for National Geographic, Discovery, TLC, A&E, PBS. From grizzlies in Alaska to volcanoes in Hawaii to people with extreme phobias, I’ve worked on a wide range of topics in the documentary production world.
I love production, but found my true passion is writing and content development. Now I write scripts for TV documentaries (Look for Unlikely Animal Friends on Disney+ for some feel-good stories!) and develop films for production companies. I write for print and online publications. I also work with corporate clients and content marketing directors to help companies achieve business outcomes through engaging, data-driven narratives.
